Metal Maiden of the Month: February 2026

CITY/COUNTRY: Viña del Mar, Chile

1. How did you first get into metal music, and what was the first band or album that hooked you?

When I was 4 years old, my dad introduced me to one of the greatest heavy metal bands: Iron Maiden. I first discovered them through the song “Speed of Light” from The Book of Souls. When I watched the music video, something changed inside me. I became obsessed and sang it every day.

2. What was the most memorable concert you’ve ever attended, and why did it stand out?

I could choose several, but one of my favorites was in 2023 at Masters of Rock. It stood out because I saw Deep Purple, Scorpions, Skid Row, Helloween, and KISS all on the same stage—many of my favorite bands in one concert.

3. What’s your favorite metal-related memory, whether it’s a concert, meeting a band member, or something else entirely??

One of my most special and sentimental memories was seeing one of Paul Di’Anno’s last shows. I was in the front row, enjoying every song from Killers and the first Iron Maiden album. At the end of the show, I reached up to grab the setlist—everyone wanted it, and I got it.

4. Do you have a favorite metal subgenre? If so, what draws you to it?

I have two favorite metal subgenres. The first is thrash metal—I love the guitar downpicking, fast drums, and overall aggression. Aesthetically, I’m drawn to bullet belts and thrash band shirts. My second favorite is heavy metal; it’s my roots. I love the harmonies, tempo changes, and how it can feel both relaxing and brutal at the same time. The chains, leather, and the image of Rob Halford riding in on a motorcycle ready to sing Hell Bent for Leather are incredibly inspiring.

5. What’s your go-to metal anthem when you need a boost of energy?

“Straight Through the Heart” by DIO. It hits me straight in the heart—it’s powerful, emotional, and full of energy.

6. If you could attend any metal concert from any era, which one would it be and why?

Metallica in 1983 at The Stone in San Francisco. I would have loved to witness the early days of Metallica and see Cliff Burton and Dave Mustaine on the same stage. Just thinking about it blows my mind.

7. How has being a female metal fan shaped your experience within the metal community?

My experience as a female metal fan has been very positive. I’ve met many people and made great friends within the scene. I’m grateful for this path because it led me to discover a passion and a talent: playing the guitar.

8. I see you play the guitar. Is there one album or guitarist that made you want to play?

Love at First Sting by Scorpions. Dave Mustaine and Michael Schenker.

9. What’s a metal album you think every fan should listen to at least once in their life?

…And Justice for All by Metallica. The drumming stands out and the guitars are incredibly harmonious. Let’s not talk too much about the bass—sorry Jason, just kidding.

10. Who are some of your other favorite guitarists?

Wolf Hoffmann from Accept, Janick Gers, and Kirk Hammett (my playing style is influenced by him, especially because of his Jimi Hendrix-inspired approach).

11. Outside of Metal what are some of your other hobbies/interests?

Last year I got into photography. Taking photos that represent female heavy metal and thrash metal makes me feel great. I enjoy combining outfits, styling my hair with a strong 80s vibe, and I recently started posting guitar videos. My Instagram is becoming more like a personal blog, and I’d be happy to see the community grow and connect with people who share the same interests.

12. Final Thoughts

Thank you so much for having me! It’s been a pleasure answering these questions. Female heavy metal deserves to be recognized all over the world. Keep rocking and thrashing!!
